Excellent small run bar / cafe, mainly cafe, absolutely great value. The cafe is set with tables both inside and out, very nice to enjoy breakfast outdoors. Nice English family, with dad in the kitchen, mum behind bar and daughter serving. Due to it being small can take a while if busy, but well worth any wait. Very accommodating and every ready to help and serve. If you don't try there at least once and try there full bumper English you wont know what your missing. The bumper breakfast consists of Bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, beans, mushrooms, fried bread, black pudding and hash browns.

Having visited Javea for some years now. I cant believe that I had never been to this restaurant before 2004. I like my food and enjoy a good meal out. When at home I enjoy a nice Sunday dinner with all the trimmings such as Yorkshire pud's etc. I have tried some very good food from many different restaurants. But there carvery was bar far the best, I have had to date anywhere England or Spain at home or in a restaurant, it was that good. The food was hot, tasty, fresh and all homemade, with full selection of fresh veg. The roast potatoes were perfect and so was the mash, not a lump to be seen. Absolutely the best. Desert was great, I had hot apple crumble homemade with ice cream. They had a varied list of deserts to choose from. they had a large menu of other dishes such as steak on the menu. But the carvery is a hands down winner at only 6.75 euros. Great value is a understatement, with excellent quality and service. The restaurant is large with ample seating both inside and out. Fast friendly staff with some bi lingual. The restaurant is nicely adorned through out with pictures of Marylyn Munroe hence the name.
|
SPECIALS The 6.25 Euro cavery for the main carvery meal and a dessert is a must. And just impossible to beat. only between 6 and 7 pm..... lunch carvery at 5.25 euro's, which is a carvery meal and desert between 12.30 and 3 pm. Sunday special is a 3 course carvery for only 8.95 euro's

I do like my Chinese food and in Javea there are many
to choose from. I feel I have been to a few now and can say with out a
doubt this ones one of the best. Very good and everyone in the
group I was with agreed. I have found in Spain many Chinese
Restaurants put to many vegetables in the dishes drowning out the main meal
sometimes. At last I have found somewhere that has the correct
proportionate sizes of vegetables against rice or meat. The prices are
fair and the quality is good to. They have nice friendly staff and the
restaurant is very nicely decorated with nice atmosphere.
I WOULD SAY WELL WORTH VISITING. |

Main Javea - Gata road. | ||
| This place is a jewel of a restaurant! The Gata/Javea version of a typical Sunday, family lunch is to be had here. Everything is cooked on a old wood fire. Mostly vine cuttings (they give such a great flavour) are used plus some almond wood, orange wood and carob for good measure. They put the meat on in the morning and by lunch time you don't need a knife to cut the meat! |

Very highly recommended have eaten here on many occasions. And well known for being probably the best Indian restaurant. Extremely nicely decorated with real touch of class. Nice uniform waiter service with excellent standards. Very nice chicken or lamb tikka starter no to spicy so most people should enjoy them, Served on a hot plate of roasted onions. Nice selection of starters and main meals with couple of desserts. Nice restaurant that is well worth visiting with out a doubt. |
